"Popkomm" is the international business platform for the music and entertain-
ment industry.
Record labels, managers, publishers, marketers, producers, musicians, technicians and many more will gather from all over the world for industry specific conferences, open forums, exhibitions, and of course, a simultaneous live performance festival in and around Berlin's best venues showcasing some 400 bands, DJ's, and songwriters.
The Conference starts on the 19th September and is located within several halls at the Berlin Messe Exhibition centre located near Tegel Airport in Charlottenburg. That night the Festival also kicks off in the heart of the Popkomm festival at the 'Kulturbrauerei' in Mitte. The Kulturbrauerei boasts 9 of the festivals 30 official live venues...The festival continues through til the Saturday night 22nd as a closing party to the conference which wraps up on the 21st.
You can be sure to catch some of the 'next big things' at Popkomm as labels show off their new signings, and typically the whole city, which is a music fan as a whole anyway, gets involved and supports one of the biggest events of the music industy's calender!!!
