Admission: 8€ Known as La Pedrera, meaning "The Quarry", Gaudi's building Casa Mila was build between 1905-1907.
Nowadays, it is stunning people from all over the world, considering it nothing but magnificent and overwhelming and mostly comparing it with waves of lava or movements in a sand-dune.
Part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, there have been arguments whether Casa Mills can be titeled "building" overall. Due to its debatable usefullness some prefer refering to it as art or sculpture. However, talking architecture, this is definately another league.
Once labeled "The Quarry", and considered ugly by the locals, today the Casa is a popular landmark of Barcelona.
...so, best to go there and form one's own view on the matter...
