La Lumière?
La Lumière was born out of the desire to highlight travel as a process of self-discovery. La Lumière, when translated means "the light," aims to illuminate the way for travellers to share their experiences. As daily life becomes more and more hectic, we aspire to showcase works that portray the beauty of living life in the "moment." From train rides to hitchhiking, the Mydaytrip La Lumière seeks to remind people of how interesting the journey can be.
As an extension of the travel website mydaytrip.com, whose flagship motto is to "be your own travel guide," we believe that travellers create their own destiny. As Proust once said, the "real voyage of discovery consists not in seeing new places but in seeing with new eyes," thus our mission in La Lumière is to guide the way for travellers to share their new vision. We return home, or possibly come to create a new one, with a transformed view of the world.
From thoughts on an inspiring painting in France to a colorful crowd in a German festival, we strive to highlight the challenges and discoveries that come with travel. The newsletter not only provides stories and articles from the community, but also the tools with which you can start or continue your trip. With our comprehensive Events Guide, you can target the most interesting festivals and celebration happening all over the world. The Open section is dedicated to aspiring travel writers and photographers where they can read and submit their work as well as share and find tips in the forum. Find like-minded people from all over the world with our Featured Groups. From jobs to rideshares, the Emporium section will help you find all that you need for your vagabonding lifestyle.
Let the light in! Get inspired and share your adventures with Mydaytrip La Lumière.
