Amélie is looking for love, life and just something more than her sometimes ordinary existence as a waitress in Paris. The film throws us a glimpse of her quirky childhood and the whimsical, imaginative young woman she has become. A chance encounter with a collector of torn up passport photos from the Paris metros leads Amélie to realize that the only way to happiness is to take a leap of faith and a spoonful of her own medicine...
